Should I Buy A Coffee Maker With A Thermal Carafe?
Coffee lovers help me please. My 7 year old glass carafe coffee maker just died. I am in mourning. It would burn the coffee so fast -- so i would unplug it after it made the coffee. My first cup was hot. My second cup I would have to heat up in the microwave. yes. no kidding. So I was thinking -- would a thermal carafe keep the coffee hot without burning it? Do Thermal carafes work better? Thank you.
Coffee is best right after brewing. If it stays on a warmer after brewing becomes bitter because the heat, in addition to burning off some of the water, is changing the chemical make-up of the coffee. Thermal carafe brewers solve the problem by eliminating the cooking of the coffee - that's why coffee shops use thermal carafes, airpots or thermal servers.
