How do i make coffee that is exactly like a starbucks latte?
I have a coffee filter press, and ready ground starbucks coffee
and a milk throther
but how much of each do i use etc?
Like how much coffee and how much water for one shot of coffee?
I'm guessing "coffee filter press" is a French press. It makes good coffee, but not espresso. Espresso is needed for a latte, you can fake it with coffee, but it won't be the same.
If you want to make espresso without a machine, the best way is to use what's called a moka pot. The link shows the one I use. To steam milk without a machine, you can use a whisk & a pot on the stove (just needs a little effort).
A latte is 1/3 espresso, 2/3 steamed milk, and it's topped with a thin layer of foamed milk. Those very good at it can make artistic designs with the foamed milk (I can't, but it still tastes good)
As far as coffee & espresso beans, they're the same thing. Espresso is a way of making coffee with water under pressure, it's not any special kind of bean.
