lip ring hurts...is all this crap normal?
Before I waste my time goin back in to a professional, imonna ask yalls advice. I got my lip pierced two weeks ago, and for over a week now it's been very sore. I have a white sore
(I guess is the only way I can explain it) forming over the inside part of my lip ring, and it's scabbing in the front. I use Epson salt and listerine more than I use the bathroom after drinkin a pot of coffee! So I dont see why I would get an infection....But if i move it the slightest bit, the inside stings like it's been cut, and the front part burns! And it's squeezing my lip, is that because it's swolen or because it's to small? I know it's suppost to be sore, but damn! Is it infected? And if it is, what do I do?
Hey, it kinda sounds like you're over cleaning..absurd you think...?? NOT~~ The white sore inside of your mouth is normal..let it be..gentle rinsing with regular (GAGG) Listerine and varying with a peroxide rinse ought to help..try to let it dry a Lil on the outside. Consistently keeping the outside wet can cause irritation and chapping of the area. IF you're experiencing excessive swelling,redness and fever etc..See a Dr. If you believe the ring/stud is too small, you may need to return to the piercer and seek help and possibly a longer (FREE) replacement stud. My BEST to YOU..
