How many of us have a mug with our name on it? How many of us have a mug with our favorite sports team's logo on it? How many of us have a company logo on a mug?
Generally, most, if not all of us have at least one of these mugs and many of us have them all. Our cupboards are filled with mugs, some of which are only used when the house is crowded with dinner guests. This isn't a problem for consumers, because less is more, but it is a problem for companies. Many of the mugs given out are those that companies give out as part of a promotional give away. However, if the mugs are just going to sit in the cupboard where no one sees them, what is the point? When these mugs are called beer steins, it can be a bit misleading. You don't have to drink just beer out of these mugs. Coffee, hot chocolate, lattes, tea, milk, or just plain old water can be drunk out of these mugs. Originating in Germany and well-grounded in the traditions of Oktoberfest, beer steins are a unique type of mug. They are larger than coffee mugs, and many feature interesting designs on them that go beyond just logos. Some are made of silver and stone, while others are made of ceramic.
From a company point of view, putting your logo and company name on beer steins and giving them away as promotional gifts just makes sense. These are mugs that will be used time and time again and every time they are used, someone will see your company name and logo. That is a form of advertising that just keeps on giving. For years down the road, people will see that mug and think of your company. For the initial cost of a few dollars, you can bring in hundreds, or even thousands of dollars in business.
Beer steins are a great promotional gift to your clients because they are a unique type of mug. They are not your normal coffee mug. Some of these wonderful German mugs have lids that you open with a thumb lever. That means they stay warm and cold longer, just like a thermos. For many people, there is drinking warm hot chocolate with a normal mug, and then there is drinking a mug of warm hot chocolate with a beer stein. The two experiences do not even compare. When it comes to mugs, the Germans certainly got it right with the stein. You can get it right too by buying these steins for your clients and giving them out as promotional gifts, complete with your company name and logo on them. You can't go wrong with a great stein.
