What direction is this valve supposed to go in my Black and Decker DE8 Type 1 coffeemaker?
Specifically, in the water reservoir there's a directional valve that came out of the hole in there. I picked the thing up at a thrift store used, and I guess the valve was loose. I've managed to dig up the user manual on the internet for it, but there's no mention of this little piece. Does anyone know which way it's supposed to go in?
A new one usually comes with a schematic diagram and directions. Find the diagram. If you still don't know find the manufacturer on a website from a search on Yahoo and write them an email or give them a call (probably is an 800 number). Or there should be an 800 number on the box it came in.
