If you left a steel pot on the gas stove, return 30 mins. later, the pot is dark brown: any poison here?
The water evaporated after 10 minutes, and the the stainless steel pot becomes a dark brown. Does it form any poisonous residue on the inside? If you just wash the pot, and boil water again and drink the coffee, and have a bad taste on the roof of your mouth, why so? What substance has formed? How does one clean the pot to make it safe again?
i don't think it is poisonous.
it is some sort of heated steel maybe with carbon, and minerals from the water -----residue - but you knew that.
get steel wool at the grocery store or hardware store.
If you scrub the part of the pan that has the residue, the steel wool should remove it.
