Is it safe to re-use a coffee pot after it has been heated empty?
I must have bumped my delayed start button last night and when I got up this morning (about 20-30 minutes after the delayed start time) it was on and smelling faintly burnt. The pot is fine - not cracked at all.
If not, where is a good place to buy a replacement pot? After some brief searches it doesn't seem like there is any easy place to just go and pick one up. My maker is a Mr. Coffee.
Most hardware stores and "big box" stores carry replacement pots for all sorts of coffee makers.
However, if you let yours cool completely and then wash it, it should be just fine! You may need to soak it.
