an easy, but tasty recipe for Irish Coffee?
i don't have any filter coffee, nor the "equipment" to make it.
how can i make irish coffee with instant?
nescafe gold blend is what i have - nice and strong.
i did make it once before, several years ago using instant, but i can't remember the quantities of the sugar, coffee and whisky per glass. is it one or two tsp or each coffee and sugar? and is it one or two shots of whisky? (25ml = one shot).
i have managed to get hold of some proper stemmed irish coffee glasses (the ones with no handles) and would like to use them.

1. Brew the coffee to the taste you like.In each of your glasses, add about a tablespoon (15 ml) of brown sugar. Pour a measure of the whiskey on this and mix.
2. Leave the mixing spoon in the glass as this will aid to absorb some of the coffee heat if the glass is not too thick.
3. Whip your heavy cream with two tablespoons of white sugar until the cream becomes smooth and does not drip off the spoon.
4. Add the coffee to about a 1/2 inch (15 mm) from the top and stir the sugar/whiskey mix as you go.
5. Fill the remainder of the glass with the cream.
6. Top off with the Flake in a crumbled manner or shaved if using Andes mint chocolate bar.
7. Enjoy.
