What is your favourite INDEPENDENT Coffee shop in the UK?
Most Independent Coffee shops seem to have closed in the past 10-15 years but you must agree they offer a better (and cheaper) cup than bland US chains.
So what is your favourite place to have a coffee? A greasy spoon cafe? Some refined tea rooms (Harrogate style!) or just a good comfortable local place where the service is great.
Views and brews please.
For me one of the best places is a Coffee shop in Betws-y-Coed station building it has a lovely conservatory with brown leather sofas, a dark green colour scheme and a great choice of coffee and tea and doorstop toast to buy. Bliss.
Mine's the cafe in Calderstones Park Liverpool. It's been jazzed up a bit now but the coffee there was the best I've ever tasted which is saying something because I think it is made from a catering size tin of Mellow Birds 
The mugs are all odd but it reminds me of skiving during my A levels in the winter and walking around the park in the frost and the quiet and then having a coffee and shortbread.

Other than that cafe Tabac in Bold Street - http://www.cafetabac.co.uk/ I love it here also....it's a three hour coffee place.
