can i take my 32 inch tv by american airlines?
im finally moving to dominican republic this coming may 14,
i have a 32 inches samsung tv, lcd, i was looking at the rates to ship it but is too expensive, i was also looking for a nice well protective luggage, i found couple of otions, but do you think is a good idea to take it as check bag, thats the only option because it wont be allowe as carry on.
im traveling from chicago to santo domingo, is two planes, but im thinking about taking greyhound bus to miami so i can personally handle my tv, also im afraid to fly......give me some tips to do my tv packing, i have all the packing that the tv packing brings including the box, i think i can use the box to put in the bag i found.
Most airlines require that the TV be in its original, unopened packaging. Call American or check aa.com and see if the TV has to be in its original box. You would be charged oversize and overweight charges no matter what though, so you need to take that into account when comparing shipping rates. Would oversize and overweight charges still be cheaper than shipping rates?
